Class of 2020 Event Information

We have prepared this special celebration to commemorate the historic Class of 2020 and their parents and guardians through the first-ever, one-year reunion.

The evening will begin with the 2020 grads processing down the new Grad at Grad walkway outside in the newly reimagined Hayden Circle. The outdoor ceremony will begin with a few words from Principal Frank Kozakowski and Loyola President, Fr. Gregory M. Goethals, SJ ’73. Each member of the Class of 2020 will then be called up by name to be officially inducted into the alumni association. The names of attendees will be included in the historic, first-ever class time capsule.

After the ceremony, there will be a casual reunion reception outside in Malloy Commons catered by alumnus, Sean Murphy ’84, with appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, a few buildings and classrooms will be open to wander through and relive memories, along with touring the newly-opened Caruso Hall.

Parking is available in Dewey Parking Lot, accessed from Pico Blvd. and Dewey Ave.

Dress attire (dress shirt and tie with long pants) suggested. Footwear suitable for grass is recommended.

In addition, you may consider a hat and sunglasses for the ceremony and a wrap or coat for your comfort.

5:15 PM – Check-in opens.
5:45 PM – Graduates encouraged to arrive no later than 5:45 PM to check-in and find their place in the opening procession.
6:00 PM – Alumni Induction Ceremony and Time Capsule Blessing. The Class of 2020 will have reserved seating at the front. Seating for parents and guardians is first-come, first-served.
7:15 PM – Approximate start of Reception. The campus will be open until approximately 9:30 PM.

The reception will include non-alcoholic beverages, COVID-safe, pre-portioned food stations and passed appetizers. The menu includes:
