June 21–July 23, 2021

The Loyola High School of Los Angeles Summer Session offers a comprehensive and innovative course of study for young men and women who will enter grades sixth through twelve in August of the new school year. The summer curriculum is designed to reinforce the fundamental concepts, attitudes, and skills necessary for academic success in a variety of subject areas. In addition, Loyola Summer Session provides opportunities for participation in and development of co-curricular skills. The summer program is designed to combine serious academic study and physical activity with a relaxed social atmosphere. If you have any questions, please contact summerquestions@loyolahs.edu.

On behalf of the summer session faculty and staff, we hope your son or daughter will find the summer session to be an enjoyable learning experience.

We offer classes in Spanish and Mandarin. Lastly, Summer Reading 10 is designed to meet the Loyola summer reading requirement.

For current sophomores and juniors: Need to brush up on Mandarin? We offer review courses in Mandarin I, II and III. In the sciences, we offer Pre-AP Biology and Pre-AP Chemistry. Want to take care of your summer requirement? Summer Reading 11 and 12 are available online.

For current juniors: Back by popular demand is a one-week College Application Essay Workshop, which will be conducted by members of our Counseling Department. The first session begins June 14th, the week before Summer Session. There are limited spots to maximize one-on-one instructional time.
