Through The Campaign for 1901 Venice Boulevard,  Loyola’s campus is being transformed. This game-changing initiative is reimagining Xavier Center as a 21st-century liturgical, educational and special events space as well as the gateway to the western end of campus. Now named Caruso Hall for Loyola benefactor and Board Chair Rick Caruso, it will make its debut this December 2020.

Caruso Hall will include:

• Hidden, retractable walls, allowing for multiple classes to occur simultaneously
• A banquet kitchen, capable of serving 800 guests
• A food service kitchen for students
• A dedicated sacristy to service liturgies
• State-of-the-art integrated communications and AV equipment
• ADA-compliant restrooms

The 26,188 sq. ft. Caruso Hall will be used for more than 200 events a year. The Campaign will not only help rebuild Caruso Hall from the ground up, but it will enhance Hayden Circle. Anchored by Loyola and Ruppert Hall, Hayden Circle will welcome our community with a front entrance gate that harkens back to Loyola’s original blueprints. The adjoining Rose Garden will be enclosed, creating a space for receptions as well as contemplation. And at the Circle, an inspiring Graduate at Graduation Walk will lead to Loyola Hall surrounded by eco-friendly landscaping and dotted with benches and native plants. With the private funds raised by The Campaign, the Veterans’ Memorial Courtyard will also be created to honor past and future Cub veterans.
