Michael McDermott

Michael received his Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and also worked in the LMU Facilities Department for 11 years. He was hired at Loyola High School in 1998 by President Robert Walsh S.J.

Michael oversees our buildings and grounds and his department consists of the maintenance and security staff. He also oversees all campus construction. His department takes care of 325,000 Sq Ft of space on 22 acres of land.

Michaels wife Milana works at Bishop Montgomery (Dean of Student Life). They have 4 daughters.

When not at work Michael likes to spend time doing stand up paddle surfing and taking weekend surf trips with his daughters. He is also a diehard LA Kings fan.
