Loyola Fine Arts teacher Mrs. Cristina Saggese’s AP Art & Design students Daniel Austin ’21, Oliver Cudrigh ’21, Francesco Guerra ’21, Chase Martino ’21 and Carson Simril ’20 and photography student Jinho Myung ’20 received honors for their submissions in the 2019 Drexel University High School Photography Contest. The six Cubs will have their photos exhibited in a curated show of only 100 works chosen from across the nation’s high schools next month at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Last year, Loyola student Jack Pendley ’19 won first place in the same competition.
Another former AP Studio Art student and recent Loyola graduate Jeremy Davis ’19 was featured by the Getty Center as a Getty Unshuttered Artist. The current USC freshman’s photography is being exhibited at the Getty in the #Unshuttered show. Davis’ video is featured here:
