Loyola High School of Los Angeles offers a Summer Session for young men and women entering the sixth through twelfth grades in the fall. Now in its fifty-second year of successful operation, the summer curriculum is designed to reinforce the fundamental concepts, attitudes, and skills necessary for academic success in a variety of subject areas. In addition, Loyola Summer Session provides opportunities for participation in and development of cocurricular skills. The summer program is designed to combine serious academic study and physical activity with a relaxed social atmosphere.

Schedule

    Classes meet Monday through Friday
    Period 0: 7:10 - 8:25 a.m.
    Period 1: 8:30 - 9:45 a.m.
    Recess: 9:45 - 10:05 a.m.
    Period 2: 10:10 - 11:25 a.m.
    Lunch: 11:25 - 11:55 a.m.
    Period 3: 12:00 - 1:15 p.m.
    Period 4: 1:20 - 2:35 p.m.
    Summer Sports: 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Registration


Registration Will Open in March 2012

Registration must be completed on-line by May 25, 2012.

Refunds are available prior to the May 25th deadline; however, a non-refundable $35.00 registration fee is assessed per class.  A $35.00 fee will assessed for adding, dropping, or changing a class at any time through June 20. 

After May 25, late registration is available from May 26 - June 20.   A $35.00 processing fee PER CLASS will be added for late registration. 

The last day to make any class changes will be Wednesday, June 20.  Your son’s/daughter’s class schedule will not be mailed to you. It is to be picked up on the first day of classes in Xavier Center.  

Registration cannot be officially processed until tuition fees are paid in full. Classes have a limited enrollment.  The school reserves the right to cancel any course that does not meet minimum enrollment.  Classes will be scheduled according to class and period availability on a first-come, first-served basis.  You will be contacted if a class is canceled, closed, or is not available during the period(s) you have requested. Unless otherwise noted, all classes receive 2.5 semester units (equivalent to ½ semester of credit), and books are included in tuition (unless indicated otherwise in the course description).
