Course instruction focuses on teaching students strategies and content to allow them to be successful in the English, reading, and writing sections of the ACT Exam.  This course will offer an in-depth review of usage and mechanics and rhetorical skills covering punctuation, basic grammar, sentence structure, general writing style and organization as applicable to the exam, and strategies that will help students manage time and minimize errors.  Reading comprehension strategies as well as writing skills will also be discussed.  Students will practice questions in which they can apply the strategies learned and will have multiple opportunities to take official practice exams and receive score analyses and guidance for score improvement.
