This is a novice level course in the fundamentals of drawing and design, emphasizing line, value, texture, pattern, spatial relationships, perspective, proportion, and scale.  Students’ works will include self-portraits, still lifes, landscapes, and imaginative abstractions.  Students will be using pencil, charcoal, oil pastel, markers, and acrylic paint.  Materials are included.
